With the recent hike in fuel prices a lot of employees may want to work remotely, if you’re thinking of setting up remote access to your office workstations and servers, there are several things you can do.  You can implement some of the suggestions below if you have a peer to peer network.

  • Install TeamViewer
  • Install AnyDesk
  • Install GoToMyPC

You’ll have to figure out if these services make sense financially or not.  You may also implement RDS services for each workstation.

If you have an Active Directory Server and Workstations, you may use the above suggestions, although if you have a lot of workstations, you may need to consider other options such as:

  • Remote Desktop Services, RDS (Terminal Server)
  • AnyDesk

To setup Remote Desktop Services, you will need either a Static IP address or DDNS service in order to login to your remote workstations.  You can search the web on how to setup RDS and you’ll find a lot of articles from Microsoft or you can contact our office for a free quote
